Adding an AWeber Opt In Form To A WordPress Blog

Using AWeber as an Autoresponder will improve your chances of reaching the right people, at the right time, by allowing you to continue marketing to them over time.

A WordPress blog (the best blogging platform in my opinion) can be a great place to allow people to "Opt-In" to your list. And for the small business owner, this part is absolutely critical. You know from your offline efforts, that is sometimes takes 5 to 7 *visits* to your store/catalog or website before a customer will take the plunge. If you had a chance to ask them for their name and email address, so you could send them follow ups, and they said *yes*, what would that do for your prospect to customer conversion rate?

Think about that for a minute.

They *sign up* and receive messages from you over time. You stay in front of them, you remind them of your service or product, and you explain over a series of email’s why your service / product is the best fit for their needs.

I know, it’s a no-brainer, right?

So, how do you add an AWeber Opt-In form to your WordPress blog? Well, this video takes you step by step through the process. When you are done, you will be able to create a list in AWeber, add a Web Form, and then put it on your WordPress blog.

  2. Great vidoe .. I am trying to add a custom optin form with the aweber code inside. This is for my home page. I bought some nice graphic optin in forms and now I cannot add the form at the bottom of my home page. Can you tell me if this is possible.

    Regards,

    Kim Dion

  3. @Kim Dion – I would be happy to help if you like. Generally, the *getting-it-into-the-form-area* part is a product of the CSS and tags used. It is mostly a styling issue.

I also noticed (just an FYI) that the link to your eWriterPro page is linked incorrectly. You have an extra *h* in front, so it reads hhttp:// something…

    Hi

I am also stuggling trying to add a opt in form on my homepage using AWeber code.

I’ve search Aweber knowledge base, but found nothing. I would appreciate a bit of help on this one.

    Cheers

  5. I always said that any wordpress blog should have an opt-in option, but some wordpress blogs just don’t know how to add this kind of functionality to their website. We need to remember that WordPress is a simple blogging platform and additional enhancements are required to make it suitable for a membership type of site with an opt-in feature, this requires a plugin or a function within the theme, which not every blogger can handle.
