What is On Page SEO?
On page SEO is how well your site is organized for the search engines. It is all the factors of SEO you can control on your site or page – hence the name “On page SEO.”
Fast On Page Search Engine Optimization Training with the Sen SEO Plugin
Sen SEO allows you to see many of the factors that determine how good your on-page SEO is. It will grade you from A-F on how well you use your keywords in the places that matter most to the search engines and that will affect your positioning in the search engine results pages (SERPs):
On Page Search Engine Optimization Factors include having your keywords in places like your blog post or pages’:
It will be your SEO Sensai making you a master of on page SEO in no time. Below is a snapshot of the Sen SEO plugin to the rescue!
As an example, I’ve decided to analyze the site Brett Manning’s Singing Success Online site.” I’ve inserted the keyword phrase I wanted to analyze, which happens to be “singing lessons.”
Overall this gets a 68% out of 100% grade for its on-page SEO. At the time of the creation of the blog post, Brett Manning’s site happens to rank 11 out of 1,500,000 pages on the Google SERPs using the keyword “singing lessons” in the site’s content. And the number 1 position on Google for “singing lessons” also has an on-page SEO score of 68%. This typically means the authority of the site is higher because of the links it has pointing back to it. In this case we’d want to use our SEO Quake Plugin and see what else is going on off-page.
Each on page SEO aspect is graded separately as you can see above. On the left of each item that determines the web site page or blog post page on page seo strength a circle that is either green orange or red will appear. The green circle means it passes. The Yellow/orange circle is a warning, and the red circle means it fails in that SEO factor.
For instance, if you view the snapshot above, the length of the Title Tag exceeds 65 characters, which ideally it should not, so it receives a warning there.
Additional SEO information can by clicking on “Show Components” tab as seen below:
We get deeper into what the header 1, 2, 3 tags are and images.
This tool can be a nifty on-page competition buster You can make changes to your content based on the plugins’ recommendations and see your On page seo score increase.
SEO Limitations with the Sen SEO Plugin for SEO Training
The only factor it doesn’t really analyze well is the unique content on the page. It leaves this gray. It would be super cool if the plugin did, but that’s me wanting to have it all!
Of course, on-page seo is only part of the game!
Off page SEO – all those factors you don’t control directly, like who is linking to you, is at least half, if not two-thirds the game (it depends on the competition as well). The number of links, relevancy, and diversity of those links to your article or site matter significantly.
For instance, I’ve seen sites that have horrible on-page seo, yet because their content has mega links pointing back at them (backlinks) their search engine rankings are almost untouchable. It all depends on who you are competing with.
Ah, that is why I love Mozilla plugins and gadgets like Sen SEO. Kick butt, indeed!
