I orginally asked why my blog does not come up on Yahoo you siad get some backlink – I looked that up but it does not tell how to do that. How do i get some vacklink pointing?

Engineering Jobs in todays economy are hard to come by and this is made even more compounded by the fact that future employers are becoming more difficult to satisfy. Personally, I think that the global markets should see substantial improvements within the next twelveyears and this should make the situation easier to handle.

Naturally, we use the DoFollow setting to help reward bloggers such as yourself who take the time to add to the conversation.

In fact, I would like to add CommentLuv as well, so in addition to the link to your main domain, you can also get a link to a deeper page. And if you register for CommentLuv (as a commenter), you can choose the blog post that is used in your new backlink. This let’s you choose a post that is relevant to the topic at hand.

Another good way to get backlinks is to post relevant comments on other blogs where similar topics are discussed. This gets you good backlinks especially if the blog owner has enabled “DoFollow” (cancels the “nofollow” property) in their comments. This can be done in WordPress with a plugin.

I encourage all blog owners to use DoFollow. Reward folks who comment. Give them some backlink love! You’re not losing anything. In fact, Google prefers pages that link out to other relevant pages. You’re helping to create and nurture a community of like-minded bloggers.

Just be sure to turn on comment moderation. You don’t want to publish a bunch of spam comments.

If you’re using WordPress, also consider installing the KeywordLuv plugin. This lets a commenter create their own anchor text for their link.
