If you are marketing your business on Facebook, or intend to, what are some of the “rules” in the overall community? How do you know you are headed in the right direction when it comes to converting your friends or fans to subscribers of your blog or community (and into clients)?
In The Dali Blogger’s opinion, the biggest unspoken rule of Facebook would be to “Do Unto Others.”
You might be asking now, “Dali, well how do I know what others would like me to do”?
Observe Other Facebook Marketers: What Do They Do?
You can learn a ton by observing others on Facebook.
Ask yourself:
- If you’re marketing for business purposes on Facebook, do you think your friends or fans would like you to nothing but post flowers on their wall?
- Would you like to be tagged on content that does not pertain to your marketing niche or purpose on Facebook?
The answers to the two questions above are probably a big resounding no, right?
So observe and mimic the behavior you feel is appropriate, and by the same token, do not apply those actions you think are annoying or tedious. Take note of what makes you click on the “like” or even “share” button to share that content your page or profile. Why did you share that content? If you keep doing that you’ll start grooving.
So, Do Unto Others on Facebook, is Golden Rule #1.
I personally enjoy good quotes, tips, quality content that is relevant to the marketer’s business. The more value you put out there, the bigger the “attraction magnet” you become.

Nice article Dali, I am wondering if you can let me know if there are anyway, we can know whom to target for specific ads campaigns? For example, While advertising on google, we have decent keyword research tool which says it all about whom to target. Now facebook advertising is interest bases. Do you think there are any way to target them or search such targets?
