Before I tell you how, let me tell you why.
Can you say passive residual affiliate income? Well, okay, I know you can say it. But do you mean it? And do you know what it means?
Your blogging should be a way to connect, a way to network. Develop relationships, express yourself and educate. It’s many things really. And each new visitor you bring to your blog has different needs, different expectations.
The visually appealing Amazon Carousel widget allows you to hand select exactly the products you want to display to your visitor. It can be DVD’s of training material that supplement your message. It can be books, gifts, white papers or movies. And as an affiliate for Amazon, (one of the largest online stores on the Internet), you can provide value, while getting paid.
Granted, it’s not a huge check each month. In fact, some months you might not see anything. But it is a check just for renting out a little of your web space. A thank you for recommending a book that, frankly, if it helped you, you would probably recommend anyway.
One way to do this is with a new widget Amazon is offering. It’s called the carousel, and like it’s name-sake, it places photo’s of your *products* in a 3D round and round that the visitor controls.
When I came across this fun little widget on someones site, I immediately wanted one for my main blog.
Fortunately, I knew the person who had the blog it appeared on so I gave her a call to learn more about it. We got together on Skype and together went to find and create one for me. I recorded the process to find the widget, select the products and put it on my blog.
This isn’t like one of my regular video’s, all planned out and the process defined before I record but it does show every step. You can hear her in the background and I am talking with her during this video, but I think you will get something out of it.
This is the *widget* we created during the session. If you want one, follow the steps in this video to go make your own. Remember, you can choose anything you want (that Amazon sells) for your widget. Go get creative.
